Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 August 2026. By using meldpdf you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. What meldpdf is

meldpdf provides free tools to work with PDF and image files. The tools run inside your web browser on your own device; your files are not uploaded to us (see the Privacy Policy and how it works).

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use meldpdf only for lawful purposes and only with files you have the right to process. You must not use the site to infringe others' rights, to process material you are not permitted to handle, or to attempt to disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the service in a way that harms others.

3. No warranty

meldpdf is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that a tool will be error-free, that output will be perfect for every file, or that the service will always be available. Always keep a copy of your original files.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, meldpdf and its maintainer are not liable for any loss or damage — including lost data, lost files, or lost profits — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site. Because processing happens on your own device, you are responsible for your files and their backups.

5. Passwords and encryption

The password tools use standard encryption. If you add a password and forget it, it cannot be recovered. meldpdf cannot remove a password you do not know and does not attempt to break encryption.

6. Third-party content and ads

The site may display advertising (for example, via Google AdSense) and link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for third-party content, and their use is governed by their own terms and policies. See our Cookie Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The meldpdf name, site design and original content are the property of the project. You retain all rights to the files you process — we claim no rights over them.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
